The combining of the Exmor R CMOS sensor and a powerful BIONZ image processor, this camcorder has the ability to record stunning full high definition videos at 1080p resolution and also capture high quality images with a maximum resolution of 3984 x 2240 pixels. The presence of Face Detection on this camcorder recognizes faces within the frame and optimizes exposure and focus settings specifically for them. Another very sophisticated and extremely useful new feature is the GPS automatic geotagging which automatically matches date and time information from photos with location information with the help of an inbuilt GPS unit.
The addition of a self-timer function on this camcorder lets you delay shutter release by 10 seconds, giving you enough time to compose a frame and also be part of the photograph. It is also a great tool for capturing self-portraits and for those perfect group shots.
The transfer of all the recorded media files can be done to a computer or a laptop via the camcorder’s Type A USB, mini-AB USB or Hi-speed USB 2.0 port.
