    Description

The Sony Fontopia MDR-E9A has incorporated a wealth of features to be an attractive and performance oriented earphone. The in-the-ear design isolates the ambient noise to a great extent to deliver an enhanced listening experience. The ear buds of this Sony headphone has been ergonomically designed to be a comfortable fit for almost all ear types. With this earphone, you will get wired connectivity with the audio source.

    Design

This Sony earphone has been beautifully crafted to be a fashionable accessory. This earphone features two ear buds that fit well in your outer-ear eliminating the fear of falling out at the merest turn of the head. These ear buds give rise to a wire that streams down to merge at one point and form a single cable that terminates into a 3.5 mm L-shaped connector. This design of the plug eliminates the fear of breakage that happens mainly because of the excessive strain at this point.  The 1.2 m long cable of Sony Fontopia forms a comfortable Y-configuration.

    Sound

The Fontopia MDR-E9A has not compromised on performance for an attractive look. This headphone comes equipped with two 13.5 mm headphone driver units packed with Neodymium magnets. So, this headphone maintains maximum musical accuracy. With 16 ohm of impedance, this Sony Fontopia earphone is able to produce adequately loud sound. As the frequency response ranges from 18 Hz to 22000 Hz, you will notice that every beat present in the track gets apt representation in the sound produced. This headphone is highly efficient with 104 dB/mW of sensitivity. This earphone is ideal for use with mobile phones, music players and a range of gadgets featuring a compatible audio jack as the maximum power input of Sony MDR-E9A is 100 mW.

NOT at all a good headphone!!!

i bought this earphone thinking of the brand name SONY, but i'm totally disappointed! it has no bass at all! though loud, its clarity cannot be appreciated! i found some kinda noise while listening to it. i tried it on different devices, even in my vaio, it sucks! you'll find even better non-branded ear phones in such a price, even lower!
you might try brands like senheiser or something else for low price headphones, but low priced SONY headphones are useless!

    Worst product from sony

I used to believe that sony the only brand that do not compromise whit qualities of their products. So I bought the product today for my mp3 player but its quality doesn't comply with its brand "SONY". Its a disaster from sony. Music lovers (specially BaSS lovers) dont give a try to this product. Even the bundled earphones were way better than this crap...

    Don't go for them

The earphones are bad in every aspect. Poor sound quality. No bass/drum effects. Got damaged within five months of purchase. Not at all reliable. Even my friend's earphones got damaged within first four months of purchase. Though I had the option of asking for a replacement, decided that I should go in for higher priced earphones. One should go in for Samsung earphones, if one is looking within sub-five-hundred levels.

Decent sound quality at great price..

What really makes this headphone a killer buy is the price.. The sound is clear, though not extremely clear. The sound is not as natural as you expect from high end headphones, but overall the sound is good.. I dont listen to heavy bass but that seems okay... The highs are a little too sharp for my taste, but manageable..
    Bang for the buck.. :)

One of the worst products from brand like SONY!

Bought the product thinking it's SONY even though the price is less @Rs-200/-.
    Things I noticed-
#Sound is clear. fits in the ear nicely.
#Almost no bass, no sweetness in sound. Wire's thin and [also short length].

    A Nightmare For Sony Fans

Here's my review for the Sony MDR-E9 based on 5 parameters namely design, build, performance, comfort and value for money:

Design: For their price, their plain looks can be justified at first. But after they wear out with time, these look so dated that you begin to question yourself if they were built before Indian Independence.
    Score:1/5

Build: Build of the buds are poor and expect them to wear out soon. On the contrary, the cord and connector quality are not bad, similar to some earphones...

    Very Bad Product !!

Don't buy it, No Bass at all, and sounds very cheap. Even roadside earphone are better than these. Earphone are too small to fit in an average ear, I would not recommend it to anyone.

    TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY !!
