After a heavy research of about 1 month or so,i bought this phone 20 days back...
first of all i would like to mention that i hadn't had good xperince with my previous sony ericsn phn,bt this brand has changed and innovated a lot since the split...many of u might not agree but it's better than samsung or htc smartphones...

I've been using the Xperia U for a couple of weeks now. I bought it after nearly a month of late-night research for the "perfect" midrange phone. But of course, the U has it's own share of pros and cons.

To start with, it's great value for money! It's going to live up to the most of the things you're going to do on an everyday phone. Call quality is great. It's got a snappy dual-core NovaThor processor which pounds away most applications and games without a hiccup. The 5 MP camera is decent....

I got my Phone last week ordered through Flipkart.Worthy enough at cost of 16.5k. Discussing below Prons and cons:

Prons:
1) Portable and Attractive
2) Sound in headset is awesome.Clearly,U can listen each beat of Music.
3) Internet works very fast....the basic purpose for which this set is prepared.

Cons:
Sound is little bit less as compare to other sony phones even after using XLOUD feature.

No memory issue, 8GB is more than enough even if someone still stuck...

I've become a big fan of Sony phones after purchasing a Sony Neo V (2 months back). In most of the categories a Neo V (priced at 17 k) out performs phones double its price(Iphone 4 etc.) and Samsung phone priced 5k more than this have got no chance...

But I'm little confused why Sony planned to launch a phone(U) in the same price range when the better option is available(Neo V)

8Gb Internal memory may sound catchy at first against 1 Gb, with 420 Mb available for users(V)but with a 16 GB cla...

MEMORY ISSUE

Get organized-
For people who unnecessarily stuff their phone with vids and song and often dont access the files, this is certainly not for you. You should probably get organized 1st, buying this phone must be a secondary priority in your life!

Apps-
majority of apps on playstore are less than 10mb. Even if you plan to use 2gb of 4gb for apps alone, you can still store more than 200 apps. Although i have not seen people more than 20-25...

I was using a Samsung galaxy S duos, which I lost. Then I bought this phone from flipkart a week ago.

I do not need much storage ( I carry my songs in an ipod nano). I just need a phone that I can use to check fb, gmail and my office mail, to read office documents, surf net and occasional light gaming (think angry birds :))

this phone does all these beautifully. Period.

If you do not need much storage, and don't need 5'' screen, this is a recommended product. it does everything it is supp...

i dont know why people try to hear songs on loud speaker....they should buy chinies phone.
if u want to c movies or videos put some more money and buy atleast 4 inch screen phones..
i dont know why u need to play big games in phones.........
make some preferences then decide what to buy........

Pros :
1. Amazing UI, bravia engine, Vibriant colors, awesome resolution.
2. Mali400MP GPU, This is the GPU used in galaxy S2, One of the best GPU out there.
3. Dual core processor.
4. 512MB Ram is more then enough for playing games as good as BIA2, FIFA2012 and more.
5. Battery life is good, though 1300mAh, its good enough for the phone.
6. 8GB memory, It is good enough for day to day use.
