The sound is excellent; clear and well balanced, while still packing an extra punch when boosted with the equalizer on my OnePlus Two. My tastes range from western classical to post-rock to stuff like grimes; these earphones held up particularly well on more complex, layered music. I can hear far finer detail on songs I've been listening to for ages! The bass is satisfying: distinct without overpowering the mids and highs. I've experienced none of the crackling reported by other commenters.

Very clear and crisp sound.
Overall sound is very balanced.
Its not for bass heads. It does have bass and it is balanced.
Background sounds are very crisp and easily identifiable even in heavy bass songs.

At this price point, this is the best in-ear phones that you can ever buy. You will hear instruments/pieces that you would have never heard in the songs before on other standard earphones. These have really pristine clarity.
