A bit slow towards the beginning but pics up pace towards the end. Is a good read but not one of her best. The yello iris which is her short story has similar plot line but different culprits and aims

story was stretchy. but nonetheless, awesome plot twist as usual. wonder how did Agatha get these plots and climaxes during those days.

Rosemary, a rich and extremely beautiful heiress, who received all her money from her godfather, dies after drinking glass of sparkling wine laced with cyanide after a toast during a party in a restaurant. She was married to a man older than her (George) and had extra marital affairs. Police term her death as a suicide.

It was interesting to read Agatha mystery without Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple. It's a classic case where everyone seems to have a motive but no one seems to be the murderer...

This is the typical Agatha Cristie' novel with all its ingredients n touches in it.
If u r a Cristie fan then U myst not miss the opportunity to have this1 in ur read-list.

I learnt that this story is not about Poirot even though it was clearly written at the spine of the book. No worries. I enjoyed the book. It was a stretching story. Though I enjoyed the read and couldn't put the book down I somehow found myself wanting something more. The murder or rather murders when revealed didn't come as much of a surprise as it was supposed to be.
