The Spice Mi-270 is a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) Android smartphone and is the first Dual SIM Android handset to be released in India. The Mi-270 runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS and a 416 Mhz processor. In terms of design, the Mi-270 is similar to the Spice Mi-310, the difference being the inclusion of physical Android and Call buttons. The Mi-270 sports a 2.8 inch resistive touch display that packs 240 x 320 pixels. The 2 megapixel camera on the Mi-270 supports digital zoom, multiple scene modes and variable color effects.
The Spice Mi-270 comes with a multi-format music player with a clutter-free interface to sort song based on artists or album name. The 3.5 mm port allows you to connect any generic headphones to the Mi-270. The video player supports 3GP, MP4 and AVI formats. The built-in FM radio in the Mi-270 supports auto-tune facility with preset stations.
Battery and Storage
The Mi-270 is powered by a 1000 mAh battery that gives 3 hours of talktime. The Lithium Ion cell is rated for 320 hours of standby time. The Spice Mi-270 supports microSD cards up to 16 GB capacity.
Connectivity and Features
Apart from GPRS and EDGE networks, the Mi-270 supports Wi-Fi connectivity for high speed web browsing. The phone comes preloaded with Android Webkit browser for easy web navigation with tabbed browsing support. A microUSB port and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity allows for easy file transfer and PC sync.
The Mi-270 is preloaded with Gmail app which allows access to your personal and corporate mailbox while on-the-move. The Spice Mi-270 features a built-in A-GPS module which gives turn-by-turn navigation support for both walking and driving directions. The phone supports one-touch access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace with homescreen widgets. Other preloaded utility apps in the Spice handset include World Clock, Alarm, Calculator, Calendar, To-Do List and Voice Memo.
