    The lost art of the barbell.

    This is by far the best book I have come across on weight lifting. Rippetoe has written an extremely thorough book on the major compound exercises with the barbell. The squats and deadlifts are something that you don't see a lot of people do nowadays (I haven't seen a single person in my gym do either of these).
