This one is a very good book for the beginners. Each chapter is written in a very easy way to understand. The problems are also very good and they help in understanding the concepts clearly. I particularly liked the way of linking the methods(Pade,Prony,Shanks) . Also the review of Linear Algebra and Probability is provided. I am personally very satisfied with the contents of the book.

And if you are really interested in Signal Processing go for it.......

The quality of paper is substandard (that's fine as the book is low price), but the quality of binding is very poor. Pages just started coming off loose. The glue application was not proper. Please consider this. Content is good, and helpful for those who like the subject. i don't.
