Q:Can I use thread instead of Rubber band because I have to use it from science project and I can not give that much pressure to rotate it using rubber band

A:If rubber band is not used it will not work. As elasticity required to transfer the energy.

A:No, rubber band is working as belt. Belt transfer energy from big pulley to small pulley. Thread can not do this as it is non elastic.
