  • Description
The book, "Structural Analysis Using ANSYS Workbench- How Engineers Do? With Numerical Validation," introduces the basics of structural analysis, focusing on common problems in Mechanics of Materials. Each problem highlights unique challenges, requiring a solid grasp of fundamental principles and the use of advanced computational tools. The book covers eleven key problems in Mechanics of Materials; all analyzed using ANSYS Workbench, a powerful finite element analysis (FEA) software. Through detailed simulations and analyses, readers will learn how various structural elements behave and gain practical skills in using ANSYS Workbench for engineering applications. Each problem analyzed in ANSYS Workbench is also validated using analytical methods, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the computational results. By comparing numerical findings with theoretical solutions, readers will better understand structural analysis and the strengths of FEA techniques. From studying bars under axial loads to complex truss systems and shear stresses in riveted plates, the book explores a wide range of structural scenarios. Each chapter combines theoretical concepts, practical examples, and computational methods, making it suitable for beginners and undergraduate students.
