Taking the Taj  (English, Paperback, Kullar Shivjeet)

A gripping read - fast and tightly paced...I finished it in one sitting but then I am a very fast reader!! Characters are well etched and speak to the reader so that you want to find out what happened to them...a page-turner in more ways than one! Also a surprising part is the delightfully quirky tale within a tale which this reader thoroughly enjoyed and was left wishing that there was more of that tale...

I finished reading the book in two days much like most good thrillers from international authors. I liked the plot, the way he built up characters and the fast pace at which the story moves. The ending was a bit too abrupt (negative) but with a unexpected twist (positive). The writing style is casual, easy to read (positive) but the editing could have been way better (negative)...all in all a good first book from the author

Gotta say I found Taking the Taj like a roller coaster ride that never stops. From the first page to the last it kept me glued to the 'screen' (ya it's a bit like watching a movie) and I read it late into the night. I've read a lot of the author's humour columns and was quite surprised at his thriller turn. Well done dude!
