Life-story of the author - if this is what was perpetrated on us, the British needn't be honored or revered as much as we do neither the Pakistanis. The fact that has been lost to us generations is that the partition was done post-haste and to me, that is absolutely horrifying. The book though was not as gripping as the serial was - however it gave a clear perspective to the serial. Do enjoy both together - they make for a great pair (the serial and the book)
