Besides teaching at graduate and postgraduate levels, he supervises academic as well as offbeat research works related with the human psyche. Many of his research papers have been published in respected journals. He has authored many textbooks as also books for competitive examinations and on self-help. His articles are published in leading magazines and newspapers. His regular television talk shows as a consultant psychologist is watched keenly. He is also the founder and head of Samvaidna, a mental health welfare organization that provides free guidance, counseling, and therapy for various psychological problems. He also offers psychological guidance and counseling via the internet to the needy.
If we check the medical parameters of mental health, we find that everyone suffers from mental health issues like anxiety, anger, depression, addictions (even smoking and alcohol addictions come into this category), forgetfulness, daily-life stress etc. Therefore this book is not just for the patients going to the doctors, but for everyone. And it has been written in a user-friendly language, something I highly expect in the books written by Indian doctors.
