Dr. George Marangoly Having completed his degree in Political Science and Master’s in Literature from India, Dr. George Marangoly earned his Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science and his Doctorate in Business Administration, both from the USA. He undertook various administrative positions with the US Civil Service (VA Hospitals, Dept. of the US Navy, and Dept. of the US Air Force), in the United States and also overseas. He won many awards for his contribution to Malayalam literary field, including four times FOKANA (USA) awards, FOAMA (USA) award, Arattukulam Literary Award sponsored by Bangalore Christian Writers Trust, Forum for America Returned Malayalees (F.A.R.M.) Literary Award, Kerala Sahithya Vedi “Thakazhi” Award, and Hasyavedi Award 2021 and 2022. He is the author of thirty-four books, including six books in English, and wrote the Lyrics for a Christian Devotional Song Compact Disc. He is the founder, editor, and publisher of Prabhatham (1979), the first Malayalam Newspaper published in the U.S.A. He is married to Valsa, M.A., LLB, Attorney-at-Law.
