I am satisfied by purchasing this book. The categorization of chapters is fair, this gives you a structured approach for reading.
The first few chapters are on Automation Approach are good and good for not only for beginners but also for decision makers who are looking to use QTP.

Overall, I would suggest no harm in buying this book. I have also seen the book written by another famous writer ( you know who), as compared to that this is definitely more comprehensive source for QTP as well as...

This is best book for learners. It explain concepts of QTP as well as automation also.
you can learn programming also.After reading this book it is better to read quick test professional unplugged by tarun lalwani for improving programming skills. that book don't explain any qtp concepts except programming

Most appropriate book for beginners and for advance learner.

I saw QTP Unplugged by Tarun Lalwani,QuickTest Professional by Vinnakota Ravi Sankar,but i feel this Book is the best option for beginners.

Concepts on Automation architecture, frameworks are properly written.

syntax with proper example make this book more clear.

Priceless information, becuase any one who knows manual testing and little scripting idea or not, able to understand and become expert with this book, I should say thanks to Rajeev Gupta for making such nice sentence, this book helpfull for managers, leads and new learners, Information on CD is again price less. The book is good who has knowledge for basics of QTP. Not very good for beginners.Not enough examples.

I Completed reading 3/4th part of this book and i can assure that this book gives a great insight in to QTP which helps you crack job interviews on QTP with ease. The only drawback i found with this book is that it does not give much detail on VB Scripting which is widely associated with QTP. Finally this is a must read for all those who are in to automation testing using QTP and this book definitely takes your knowledge on QTP to the next level.

Covers both test automation and qtp concepts .. Really helpful .. though CD included dissapoints .. should have included some sample projects to practice for starters..
