Material of the filler is good. Water based can be diluted to desired consistency. I don't have any experience with Carpentry but even then I could easily work with this on my hobby project. Only thing I learnt though is one should buy filler of same color as the base wood or else it becomes very hard to cover with different stain before varnish, but if u are using this before enamel paint, then no colour issues arise.
