A moving story about Palestine-Israel conflict

Michelle who is a Jewish American tells a story of Palestinian boy called Ichmad Hamid and his struggle to succeed in his life despite various constraints and living under a brutal Israeli occupation.

Best thing about this book is that it doesn't flinch from telling truth but at the same time doesn't lose touch of humanity. This is an eye opener fro the staunch supporters of Ziaonism.

    A Book of Profound Importance

This book is definitely one of the most important ever written. It's an excellent introduction to the plight of the Palestinian people. If you liked The Kite Runner, you'll love this heart warming tale of triumph over adversity, peace over war, love over hate, and co-operation over hostility.

a book that should not be missed reading

Almond Tree is a very sensational novel, rarely a novel would make you cry and realize the sufferings of other people in different parts of the world whose sufferings can not really be compared with our own. Here in this particular story the sufferings endured to the Arabs by the Jews are more than unimaginable and abominable.

The main character in the book is Ichmad and other notable supporting characters in the book are Baba, teacher Mohammad and Professor Sharon. If it is not for Teache...
