A Book of Profound Importance

This book is definitely one of the most important ever written. It's an excellent introduction to the plight of the Palestinian people. If you liked The Kite Runner, you'll love this heart warming tale of triumph over adversity, peace over war, love over hate, and co-operation over hostility.

The Almond Tree

The Almond Tree is Michelle Cohen Corasanti's debut novel and tells the story of Ichmad Hamid, a young Palestinian man. In it, Corasanti takes a sensitive look at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through Ichmad's life journey.

This is an ambitious first novel - not only because Corasanti adopts the viewpoint of a male protagonist, but also because she is Jewish American herself.

Corasanti obviously feels deep compassion for her main characters. This sympathy helps her create a story that ...
