Description
The course for Neurophysiology is rather vast and exciting yet challenging both for the students to get a grip of it as well as for the teachers to impart accurate knowledge. The procurement of basic information related to neural circuits and their functions is essential for building a career related to neurophysiology and also important for students to develop the ability to understand and solve practical along with real-life problems related to neurophysiology. It is quite challenging for teachers and authors to provide students with adequate and crucial information associated with neurophysiology. Neurophysiology is a study focussing on the functions of the human nervous system. It is a division of physiology and neuroscience. This is an ancient study which had originated as early as 4000BC. The word is derived from the Greek word νεῦρον meaning "nerve" and -λογία meaning "knowledge". This field explores the different levels of the nervous system; the central and peripheral nervous systems, the neural circuits, and the regulation at different levels of organization. We appreciate and remain thankful to many of our colleagues and students who inspired and provided ideas regarding this published text. Their encouragement and valuable input invigorated us to make this possible. We hope that the readers enjoy and understand the text and our hard work pays off.
