THANK YOU FLIPKART FOR AVAILING ME THIS BOOK IN AS MINIMAL AMOUNT.. IAM GLAD TO READ THIS BOOK.. AS THE BOOK IS ABOUT THE CULTURE OF ISTANBUL(turkey) ITS AMAZING.. AS IM AN INDIAN I USED TO BELIEVE THAT MOSTLY THE MUSLIM COUNTRIES ARE NOT QUITE OPEN WHEN IT COMES TO HAVING A CHILD WITH A FATHER.. AND IT WAS QUITE AMAZING HOW CRAZY PEOPLE THINK OVER THERE.. IM CERTAINLY GOING TO THIS COUNTRY TO SEE THAT IS THIS THE REALITY.. OVER ALL ABEAUTIFUL BOOK..

Best in the market!
A really heart breaking novel especially it's last few pages. The book portrays the beauty of Istanbul and explores the political and historical conditions of Turkey .

For Istanbul's sake
This is one of those books where a city and food is as much a character in the story as the people are. The book evoked feelings in me quite similar to those I felt while I was reading The Scent of Pepper by Kavery Nambisan, but it failed to see those feelings through to a satisfactory climax.

Bad quality
The book has no riveting or arresting plot line...the first character introduced to us, Zeliha goes on and on about the rain mishaps, the cribbing never ends. The plot is so slow it makes you doze off within a few minutes. If you like faced paced books with interesting plot lines this is not the book for you
