    Description

Circa - 1936! While most of the India grapples under the rule of the foreign yoke, the small but hustling bustling town of Bhairavgarh, famous for its sprawling Indravan gardens, the swift flowing Mahananda, and the gigantic golden statue of Lord Bhairava, which has stood for centuries and had been the centre of attraction for invaders like Ghori, Ghazni, Timur & Abdali, suddenly goes through a transitional phase as the mighty Britishers set up their cantonment in the town.?

With events that unease, shock, and violate the sentiments and emotions of the townsfolk, one man - Keshav, the young & dynamic son of the local Zamindar, cautiously gathers a group of men from different walks of life and with different motives, and carefully and strategically plans the unthinkable, a revolution-a revolution to overthrow the Britishers not just by force or might, but also through wit & intellect!

What happens when a group of men take on the might of the powerful British empire and embark on a journey full of action, adventure, planning, plotting, bloodshed, conspiracy & patriotism, to encounter four mysterious strangers, while in search of a long forgotten book written in the times of Emperor Ashoka, which holds the answer to several secrets, who turn & alter the course of the future events, even as the English are besieged with numerous problems ranging from the outbreak of the Second World War in 1939, to Gandhi??s ways & means of achieving Independence.

Read on THE BHAIRAVA PUTRAS to know more about the classic and legendary tale of a band of men who defied the norms to fight guns, bullets, injustice, deception, and intrigue at every corner of their adventurous and thrilling escapades, to uproot ?the centre hold of dominance & authority, through mountainous terrains, dense & thick jungles, secret hide outs, and rivers in spate; which unfortunately got lost, somewhere in the annals of History!

A Cocktail of Thrill, Patriotism & Mythology

The Bhairav Putras by Suhail Mathur is an intelligent mix of thrill, patriotism as well as mythology and takes a plunge in the era gone by. The writer has been successful in creating an aura around this epic tale. As a reader one can literally visualize the story as it may happen in front of one's eyes, and that's what makes this tale a real winner. There were instants ( and let me tell you all there were more than few) where as a reader i was able to feel that adrenaline pump in my blood. T...

Brilliant, Fascinating & Absorbing - Kudos to the Author

A truly engaging book handled in a very different and unique way. Not only is the plot interesting, the use of mythology, mind games and one liners simply add a different dimension to the tale. The characters are well defined and leave a lasting impression while the action sequences are handled in a deft manner and keep the reader engaged while offering a picturesque and highly descriptive narrative, so much so that the reader feels as if they are witnessing the scene unfold in front of them....

The bhairav putras presented by Suhail Mathur is such a brilliant read which kept me thrilled all its way. In brief The story talks about the people of bhairavagarh (bhairavavasi) and their true love for the native land where the Britishers transgressed during their rule in India. Then how some of great bhairavasis took stand to fight wit...

    The Bhairav Putras

In it's own way a literary masterpiece because it tries to promote patriotism in a manner that is not too preachy and also very entertaining. A fast paced thriller the story never bores you and the characters and the plot just keep getting better. You just have to read this one.

I give two thumbs up to it

I just finished reading The Bhairav Putras by author Suhail Mathur and I am simply fascinated. This book is a lot of things and all of it is fresh. The story has thrill, mystery, history, and mythology synced so well with a very attractive style of narration. For most parts, the book is witty, and for the other parts, it’s simply gripping. Do not read.

A mediocre story line with an uninteresting way of telling it. The author could have at least given a packet of Saridon/Disprin free with the book, like the India Today gives shampoo/oil.
