Even a prestigious job takes its toll on a person. Directed by Lee Daniels of Monster’s Ball fame, and starring Academy Award-winner Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey of The Oprah Winfrey Show fame and John Cusack, The Butler is a biographical drama film that follows Cecil Gaines, a butler, who serves for three decades at the White House and caters to the menial wishes of eight presidents. Through the span of his career, Cecil witnesses the civil rights movement, the war in Vietnam and much more; all of these events affect his life and family adversely.
