    An average read

It took almost 2 months for me to get the book after I had pre-ordered it. When I finally received it I was hoping it would be worth the wait. On that front I'm a little disappointed. You can't compare this one with his earlier masterpieces like 'The day of the Jackal' or 'Odessa File'. On the other hand it is definitely an improvement over his last book 'The Afghan'.

The book is about the cocaine industry and one man's attempt to destroy it. As expected Forsyth's research is meticulous and ...

    A Great Read! Unconventional Though.....

The book is a great read and though it may not be as great as its predecessors(namely Fist Of God or Day Of The Jackal) it still should not be missed. Going a different route i guess Forsyth has taken to a new dimension where he shows that GOOD DOES NOT ALWAYS PREVAIL. Throughout the story he still maintains his standards as master of intrigue and readers are still left guessing till the end of the story. Though the end is unconventional it is still guaranteed to surprise and and shock reader...

    Fine

This is definitely not one of the best works by Forsyth. I strongly suggest The Kill List over this book. The end might be a bit of disappointment for some, and after some time, this book sounds like a school book!
    The plot is okay-ish

    An Average...

The plot and story is not so great when compared to the his previous novels even-though Paul Deveraux and Cal Dexter returns to the plot after The Avenger, I found the book really good till the build up and raid and the plot was completely inconsistent in the last taking out the interest of the reader.

    The Cobra by Frederick Forsyth

I picked it up from Landmark. This book lives up to all of my expectations about a racy fiction. I like reading Frederick Forsyth books and this one has a nice jacket cover. I never knew that the international drugs cartel runs into – wait... not millions - but billions of dollars! and no wonder these drug lords are a bunch of ruthless animals who would stop short of nothing to wage bloody wars against any country's law enforcement agencies and protect their illegal and inhuman enterprises.
