    Description
In 1980, Rahul, Raj, Iqbal, Sangeeta and Anita get their first jobs at a large multinational alcohol-manufacturing company, Trust Corporation. Over the next three decades, the five go through ups and downs in their personal and professional lives as they race one another to the top. However, through all of this, their goal remains unchangedeach of them wants to become the chairman and enter the fabled corner office. But at what cost? Is the dream worth the sacrifices they make? In the quest for money and supremacy, will they compromise their ethics and principles? Will their families and friends stand by them or get left behind? A starkly realistic drama about greed, perseverance and the pursuit of power, The Corner Office showcases the journey of every enterprising player in the cutthroat corporate arena, and the consequences of ruthless ambition.

    Good Read

Is the author suggesting that we give up even before we have started or he telling this story to guide / warn us of the pitfalls in companies? I don’t think I want to stop running since I am ambitious but great learning from the book

    Intriguing Book

Liked the book very much. I could easily relate to some people at my work place with those characters in the book. In the end "Feeling of hollowness in his victory" sums it up really well. Moreover flow of book is really good, managed to finish it in 4-5 hours.

    The Corner Office

A fantastic read ..........about the Life & Times of Corporate Executives in India
This is one of the first books written about the life and times of Corporate Executives in India, how executives progress up the corporate ladder, whilst managing their personal lives. While they all have a common ambition, ie The Corner Office, the paths they take are quite different, it's not just about results but about networking.
Ultimately only one of these executives will get to the corner office. What a...

    Decent book

This book met my expectations. Five star rating from me. Most appealing thing about this novel is, all characters start at bottom and target to reach the top. It isnt the case of, one of them, being owners son, just walks into the corner office. All characters have to work hard for it and apply every possible means to get there. But in the end, only a few succeed.

    Quick Read

I was so curious abt this book, largely cos of its title. After reading the book, I have to say, the Title, Describes the book perfectly. Five Characters start their careers with only one goal, making it to the top job in their organization. Book covers everything they have to do to get there, circumstances they face, sacrifices they have to make. Sadly not all make it. All in all its a good buy.

    Interesting Plot

The special thing about this book is its 'Plot', which takes place inside a MNC and almost everyone can easily associate with it, not just their working lifestyle as well as their personal lives. When you start reading, it may sound like, something we all have seen at our workplace but the ending WILL surprise you.

    Everyone's Dream - Corner Office

This line at the end "People would come and People would go, but Trust Corporation would exist, thrive and go on forever" sums it up really well. People will come and go but companies which are build to last, stay in one form or another. Author has demonstrated very well how good and bad times for companies as well as its employees come and go. How it changes the path of employees but in the end its business as usual.
