The Dragon Reborn is the third book in Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time fantasy series.

Summary of the Book

The world is waiting. It has seen his banner flying in the air. It has seen his face, magically visualized above the skies of Toman Head. It waits for him. Rand al’Thor is coming to terms with his fate. He has made a dangerous choice. He needs the world to recognize him for who he is: the Dragon Reborn. However, he will have to travel light, and travel alone. He needs to fulfill the prophecy, and for that, he needs to travel to Tear, to lay his hands on the Sword That Is Not A Sword, the Sword of the Dragon: Callandor. Moiraine will do anything to keep Rand alive, but she has no idea what he plans to do. Rand’s friends, Perrin and Mat, are not much better off than he is at the moment. Perrin struggles to come to terms with his newfound abilities. He is scared that he will turn into an animal. And Mat is plagued by the Dagger and its effect on his sanity. He is still reeling from the fact that he blew the Horn of Valere, calling long dead heroes to his side. At Toman Head, the world almost ended, but the battle is not yet done. Tarmon Gai'don looms in the distance, and the world waits for the Dragon. The land is one with the Dragon, and the Dragon is one with the land, but can he fulfill the prophecies before one of his numerous enemies manages to kill him?
