cant wait for book 2

In one day, I was done. Normally books make us relate and experience the writing.
This book makes us experience a motion picture. Beautiful mix of science and magic.
Menaka and Kaikeyi were stellar as the story looks very different from Rama's point of view.

My bet is on Sita, complete different make over. No tears, no BS and a different attitude which possibly only Rama knew. Whats ahead for her ?

One line that stood out in the book even as I finished "I am Rama and this is my story." to...

Ramayana Reloaded

I have seen Ramayana on TV several times and also have heard its story lot of times but this was the 1st time when i read Ramayana in totally new avatar . It was worth reading . I discovered some facts that i wasn't aware about . It was good to see the physics part of Ramayana with all those description of cosmos and time portals . It was a well researched documented book. Wish there were more chapters . This book re-ignited my interest in mythology. Can't wait for the 2nd book of this crys...

Captivating

After reading Immortals of Meluha series, this book is one of a kind for the story of Rama. It is very interesting how the plot starts with a date in future and returns to where Rama narrates his life to Luv and Kush. Beautifully woven plot and wonderfully described are the reference from the Great souls of the mythology , which are well presented to the World today.

The Exiled Prince

I was wondering what would be new in a book with a story, which we hear almost everyday of our lives , as a plot. I was instantly surprised the moment I started the book. The writer had done his research well and this book is probably the best I have read in the past few months. Set in India, this book gives us a true insight in the original Ramayana and also the fiction world created parallel to it by the author. It is a commendable...

Amazing epic fantasy book

Its so well written that you can complete it in a sitting. Even when such kind of stories have lots of complications and twists, author has managed to write all of them specifically and straight. Its one of the rare epic fantasy books thats written in an easy language. I loved the characters of Lord Rama, Sita, Kaikeyi and Dashratha. While reading the book, you will keep remembering Ramayana and its a great nostalgia throughout the read. :-) I will recommend the book to everyone who fears rea...

Ramayana Retelling in Hollywood Style

The Crystal Guardian series is the retelling of Ramayana. This story is nicely woven as the author cleverly chose the events to be narrated in a brilliant way leading to a crispy tale. This is really a nice read for all the mythology fans with a modern terminology and twists. it is really good to see a crispy tale of the book rather than very long tale leading to time consuming jargons.

Whatever the reason may be The Exiled Prince is quit a nice read for a time pass. If you have read the Ram...

An Intriguing Start to a Promising Trilogy

I pre-booked this book and was happy when it got delivered promptly. This was essentially the first book that I completed reading in 2014 and I am happy to say that the book was a good read. The introduction or prologue had me hooked and the book is a reimagining of the Ramayana with additional mystical and science-fiction elements.

The Crystal of Life a source of immense power is a central element of the tale with the Ramayana and Ram, Ravana and Hanuman playing interesting roles.

Do not ...

Classy

This book is intricately woven, I am sure the author has taken his research seriously. He also seems to have been inspired by the great sages in his style of narration. There are stories within stories within stories, and while each can be a story by itself, they also form part of a bigger picture. The sub-stories are tightly integrated with the rest of the story, yet can stand alone if need be.

Many of us have read and re-read the Ramayana and have had these stories told to us a million tim...

Rama is back

Picked up this book after reading the author's article in news and I was glad I did.

Surprisingly the book starts in British India with Rama and ends powerfully in the Lankan empire. In between, it's a full roller coaster ride. I went through powerful surge in emotions between a genetically engineered human Rama brothers and a mysteriously super powerful Sita.

If I am to guess the plot ahead its about finding the crystal and its link to british. Book I sets us up for a powerful trilogy.
