The Girl on the Train, by Paula Hawkins, is a psychological thriller that revolves around a girl whose life is exposed to dramatic turnarounds from her normal train journeys.

    Summary of the Book

Aptly compared to the Gone Girl novel, this book has its mysterious plot very artfully narrated to keep the reader constantly curious throughout the story. The book takes readers on a commuter train that Rachel takes every day to commute through the suburbs of London. She has seen her own world of stories and characters living outside the moving train's window. In one of the shocking incidents of her life, she sees a terrible thing on her journey one fateful day, and before she even realises, it was already on its way to change the course of her life. Once she is compelled to interacting with the police and other people regarding the terrible incident, her life never remains the same.

    WOW!!!!

If thriller and suspense is your taste and you want to read a great book in this genre... Don't think just buy this book..it is that simple.

The characters are believable, the way they all fit is credible and the story that unfolds is incredible! .... All through the book you keep guessing what happened that night, you get the glimpse of it here and there but then finally when it unfolds you are like Heyi, I didn't see THAT one coming.

you completely connect with the protagonist and feel l...

A great book. I m not into thriller n suspense but this book made me realise how good it is to read such great piece. Amazingly defined characters. You can very well connect to each one of them. You just keep guessing about what is going to happen, but what comes next is unbelievable. A must read.

Convincing plot with no loose ends!

I read this book after a bit of procrastination, and found it was brilliant!

The Girl On The Train - a gripping and intriguing story of 3 women and how their lives got entangled in a mystery.

Before I started reading, I got a sneak peek of its sample. As it has repetitive scenes from the same train journey to and fro, I got tired and decided not to continue. This book was a bad choice, I thought. It was left untouched for more than a month. You bought it, cos you wanted to read. So better...

It's on the lighter side of thrillers

I'm gonna give it a 3.5, for the suspense in the story. I didn't find it to be a griping thriller. A gripping thriller IMO the is the one in which every chapter ends with a new intriguing reveal. It does keep you wondering about "that night" though. But somewhere near the middle of the book the guilty can easily be figured out if you are an avid thriller fan like me, and if you have read enough good thrillers. Also the title us kinda misleading. You can buy it if you are into mild suspense st...

    Pirated Copy !!

Its a pirated copy of original book. You could easily find it with the page quality and the front & back cover. Though it solves the purpose of reading but I would have got it easily for 100 bucks from a street side vendor if I wanted to read a pirated copy.

Flipkart should take a note of it seriously as piracy is happening through them.

    Bad quality

It's apparently really famous, but I found it very hard to like. I just wanted it to be over. Politely put, the protagonist was so damn frustrating to read about, but I guess that's what makes this book different. She's just like any other desperate human. I had to repress the urge to growl out of annoyance many times. I kept on wondering whether I'm reading the same book that everyone else has, because everyone loved this.

Haven't read a first-timer with so much interest..Paula kept me glued ...A treat for Fiction lovers!

The book kept me hooked on from the very beginning. Initially after the first 4-5 chapters I thought the story was going nowhere , but suddenly , just when I was about to brush the book off, the twist in the story was more than welcome. After that point, there is no keeping the book down.
Thumbs Up to ' The Girl On The Train'

One thing for the publisher- A few pages at the end of the book were bound upside down. I suggest you to have 100% checks on the books.
