It is amazing how Goldratt has invented the concepts of TOC in this book. The linkage between his plant and the troop was great and the simplest of ways to define a complex system. This book is all about simplicity of thoughts and focused and rational approach.

One of the best book I have ever read. While reading this book it makes you visualize as if you are actually on shop floor and working on all the challenges faced by Al.
Apart form manufacturing principle I would say this book give a good perspective of work life balance and also make us aware of the consequences if the same is not balanced appropriately.

This is an must read book for all MBA students as the manner in which the Alex(the main character) has take along and cover almost all the department or say fields i.e accounts , production, purchase, QA etc. for the improvement in his company, very well depicts the importance of aech one and how well each fields are interlinked with each other.
i am surely going for its second part.

Goldratt has succeeded in gently instilling the important concepts of Supply chain through a novel style writing. This book is not only to be read but also to be referred while facing challenges. Excellent Book.

a good read for MBA pals...especially the operations & finance people can visualize the work environment, relate it with the class room learnings... though not a gr8 book, it helps us to start at some point to read managememt related books..

Fantastic book.

A fantastic book which brought so many issues which were around me to my knowledge, These existed all around me but I could not recognize them.
This is a book which every manager should read. Even if you read it just as a novel, how Alex Rogo turned his plant about, is an unable-to-keep-down book.

Parts of book you should look out to read again and again: "Conversation of Alex with Jonah ". The book motivates to come out of regular thought process and think rationally at grass root level than just playing with bombastic terms used in everyday corporate life without having a feel of those terms.

Nice read. I rate it 5

a bit boring in between, but overall an interesting story to read. really helps the managers. those who are not familiar with recent manufacturing trends, but working in manufacturing sectors, they must read.
