When i picked out this book from a library i thought to myself,
'Great! ANOTHER book about an angsty teenage girl who brings down an eevil government set in a ridiculously dystopian world. Meh.'

But i was wrong...on some points.

The plot does have a very few holes in it and certain things that aren't too important to the story may not have been explained, but once you start reading the first book, it's like taking a headlong plunge into the entire series.

When a friend recommended it, I checked out the reviews and was scared off by the words "young adult" as those two words brought images of Twilight to my mind. Yuck!
Then I stumbled across the trailer for the movie and that gave me the courage to try it out.
Started last evening. Spent most of the night. Finished it today.

Wow. I was barely able to put this book down for a second after the first few pages got me completely hooked. Suzanne Collins narrative here has an immediacy to it that, when combined with the very dramatic life-or-death plot, is incredibly compelling. Well I'll not spoil your suspense or reading by narrating the story but I would definetly like to say that is a perfect book for teens and shows it. I became acquainted with this book through a friend whom I would personally like to thank for introducing me to the Hunger Games Trilogy.

Talking about the novel,the marvelous writing of Suzanne Collins really entertained me.One exceptional specialty of this novel is that,after the end of each chapter,the writer makes you feel like "Omg! whats gonna happen next".

I loved the book, also the movie. The book is really interesting. You'll love it if you are an adventure freak. The book begins with the life of a sixteen-year old girl who has to take care of her whole family(her mother and younger sister) after the death of her father( a coal miner). It goes that way. I loved Peeta Mellark and Haymitch. Overall, the book is good to read.
