Perfectly Plotted..

Had to take it wherever I go.. The way it constantly flows throws the picture on the page, mind didn't had to wander imagining.. Those who like a bit of gor and suspense, would love it.. Perfectly plotted.. :)

Entertaining!

Well, first and foremost, the only reason this book works for me is the world that Suzanne Collins has created. The post-apocalyptic Panem intrigues you and the Capitol is something you'd love to hate.

Story wise, it may not be in the league of Harry Potter as others have said, but it still makes for an un-putdownable read due to the racy and meticulous narration. You can almost feel and taste what the characters are experiencing and for that, SC gets full points.

The story doesn't come t...

Great read

I first saw the movie and was intrigued enough to purchase the book. Like the Harry Potter series, the movie skips several details in an attempt to condense the book to under 2 hours. And so I found that the book answered several questions I had following the movie. Well written, fast paced, entertaining book. I was rivited until the very end of THG, making me very glad that I already had books 2 and 3 on my shelf.

holy shit , that was freaking awesome

book is really great unputdownable , engaging and just freaking aweasome . if you like books based on adventures then you will love this.the characters are really great and with comparison to Twilight, this book is far more practical and plausible. It is however still a fantasy, and is not for everyone. But still, if you want a light, yet, interesting read, this book is certainly The One!

AWESOME

As soon as I started to read the book, I couldn't keep it down. It is so catchy and striking, that it is now my favorite book. It is definitely worth a buy. Suzanne Collins has beautifully written this amazing book.

A Good read

Do I need to even write another review out of the thousands of glowing reviews? Summaries can be found above and below I'm sure.

This is a real page turner (or rather, Kindle button pushing), and you can't put it down once you get started! I'm sorry that I started reading it right before I go to bed at midnight and ended up staying up until 5AM to finish the whole thing!

Not only is it exceptionally well written with extraordinary descriptions and dialogue, but the plot is intriguing and in...

A typical adventure that has nothing great

Firstly, the book is about a girl who fights for her life with similar opponents in a framed arena, referred as The Hunger Games, initiated by a tyrannical dictatorship in a city called "Capitol" as an act of forbidding the citizens to stir a rebellion.

Though the story was well written and adorned with some spices of excitement, I felt that there was nothing new compared to several other stories, with a similar genre, that have been in the market for ages. May be the usage of an advanced f...

Hungry for More!

I recently read the hunger games and in my opinion it is the third best series, after Harry Potter (I'm a Potterhead =P) and Percy Jackson. It is Enticing and Gripping, And IMPOSSIBLE to put down.
Some say it is Depressing, but, It's real. You can feel for the characters and I'll have to admit I cried a couple of times. Suzanne Collins has done a wonderful Job, And I strongly recomend this book.

A good Read

Even though the book has a slow build-up, the suspense created initially about the different characters is beautifully maintained throughout leaving the readers gasping for breath with every turn of the page. The description allows the user to have a good video streaming in his/her head in sync with the content. Once plunged into the world of Hunger-Games, it is difficult to get yourself out without finishing the book.
