Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

What do the different tags like 'In Stock', 'Available' mean?

      'In Stock'

Products‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

Products listed as ‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.

      'Back In Stock Soon'

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

      'Temporarily Unavailable'

The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.

      'Out of Print'

This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

The Immortals Of Meluha is a thrilling story about a warrior named Shiva, who is given the responsibility to protect the empire of Meluha from dangerous intruders. This mythological novel is fast-paced, and focuses on duty, love, principles and more.

    Summary Of The Book

The land of Meluha is an empire created by Lord Rama, and it is ruled by the Suryavanshis. This empire is powerful and proud, however, the Saraswati river that is their source of water is slowing drying up. On top of that, the empire is at war with the Chandravanshis who have allied with The Nagas, a group of sinister and deformed human beings who have extraordinary martial art skills.

The Immortals Of Meluha, published in 2010, is the first story of the trilogy. Daksha, the king of the Suryavanshis, realizes that his empire needs help. He invites a tribe from Tibet to help him fight off the enemies. The Tibetan Guna tribe is lead by Shiva, who is a fearless soldier, and the only one who does not fall ill on arriving at Meluha. To everyone's surprise, Shiva’s throat turns blue.

The locals believe that this warrior is their fabled saviour Lord Shiva, also known as Neelkanth. Shiva goes to Devagiri to meet Daksha and his daughter Princess Sati. There, he learns about the dangerous wars and terror attacks that the Chandravanshis have carried out on the Meluhans.

The brave warrior gets enraged, and declares a full war on the enemy. Readers will find this mythological fantasy to be gripping and exciting. Questions about Shiva’s duty, destiny, and karma arise throughout the book. The author has written a book that is adventurous, mystifying, and captivating, but at the same time he also has thrown light onto the subjects of what is evil, and who is truly a hero.

This page-turner is a treat for readers who enjoy history, fantasy, and adventure. The Immortals Of Meluha received good reviews from leading newspapers, and was a bestseller within its first week of release.

    Good story poorly written

Amish Tripathi weaves a splendid but totally fictional & fantasised account of Shiva's traivails.

For the folks looking for Lord Shiva's mythologicaly accurate chronical would feel frustrated. This book is certainly not for the purists; they should explore authetic SHIVA PURAN for that goal.

This is a fabricated, but very well conceptualised story, weaving together the history(Indus Valley Civilization), geaography ( North Indian plains above the Vindhayas) & mythology; it still is a fantas...

    Gross errors

    Publisher Westland Ltd.
If I had read the Immortals of Meluha first there was no way I would have bought the secret of the Nagaâ??s or even bothered to read it.
The author traverses through a hypothesis that Shiva was a migrant from Tibet who performed great fete, he eventually got deified. Definitely an interesting possibility with parallel examples of Gandhi and Lady Di. He has retold popular legends to fit the story narration.
Despite of an interesting concept being fairly well written the...

    Wasted idea, feels very cheap

Author must have seat with lots of DVDs of Hollywood movies when writing this book. Most of the battle scenes are straight from movies like 300 and Troy.(e.g. turtle formation) It feels more like ancient Rome then ancient India. It is all about 'plumbing and fitting' modern facts to reason ancient rituals and mythological objects. (e.g. anti-oxidant theory to somras). The book is full of these kind of cheap tricks.

    Not great but not bad

I would not say it was a really great read or good read. But it was fine. Everyone was raving about this about but it wasn't that great as I expected it to. But apart from that flipkart delivery was prompt and on the best price!

Over-hyped out of context mediocre writing.

The book says that it has used 'Facts' to create a story. It has misused facts and chronology of these facts has been ignored while making certain presumptions! So if you are remotely into historic facts, you'll be left disappointed.

Writing is repetitive and boring everybody 'frowns', 'snorts', etc. You'll get the pattern.
Writing gets predictable after a little while, but then the story plot is interesting. So again nothing of a literary feat.

Don't really get the reason why this series h...

    Very disappointed

On reading the preface I really expected a lot from this book. Thought this book will give a new perception on Shiva. But instead of taking the plot as per the known epics the author went in his own way(like Ram precedes Shiva but actually it is otherwise).
Either author doesn't know any facts or he just wants to take advantage of the Shiva's

It might be a good story but definitely not the way it is portrayed.

He would have sold many books and earned some fan base but
