    Ready for a thrill ride

Picked this book up purely on instinct as I have always believed Indian writers are good with mythological stories, sob stories, exploiting the poverty ridden backgrounds of over 80% of our population but a spy thriller? Expected it to be sufficient for a train ride. But kudos to Shatrujeet Nath.
For a debut writer it's very well written. Almost narrating a story every indian kid has imagined and dreamt of. Catchy and imaginative, he holds the narration in a tight grip through the various twi...

    Brilliant Debut

A thriller set in contemporary times seemed like a good idea, and Shatrujeet has not dissapointed with this. The plot is tight, fast paced, and once you start, virtually impossible to take a break from.

I finished it the day I bought it, so I can certainly say I lived my advice here!

The book probably connects better because it builds on a possible fantasy all of us must have had at one time or the other. Why can't we simply send crack commandos to Pakistan and kill our enemy no. 1? As thi...

    Best book so far

The book is one of the best book written by an Indian writer. It stands equally with great books as Feluda, Byomkesh etc. This is a must buy for all action loving readers and is very useful to revive youth's interest in joining the Indian Army

    Well Researched Fast Paced Novel

The story is very gripping and well researched. The Author has done justice to the story and the detailing about Indian Army, R&AW, ISI is upto the mark. It is a fast paced thriller that will keep you glued to it until you finish it, with twists and turns every now and then, this will be a good companion this weekend. Grab it live the adventure vicariously.
Would love to see a Bollywood version of the novel.

    good plot

the book is quite catchy as it holds the attention of the reader. But i m pretty sure that u will be bored at the beginning but as the story goes on it becomes interesting. The first prejudice/preconception that headed me that it's plot is similar to D'DAY.
A must read for those who love cross-border intelligence services. And for those also who loved movies like BABY,D'DAY,EK THA TIGER ETC.`

A fine story in this genre

The debut novel by Shatrujeet Nath is, as the summary at the rear suggests, essentially a spy thriller with the core plot being a long standing political issue between India and Pakistan. This is a well thought and well researched piece of fiction written in a lucid and engaging prose. The threads of the story are finely woven which will keep the reader guessing. The tense plot, the twists in story and the shocking dénouement add up to a fine piece of work. The pace does slacken for very b...

Best Military /Spy novel on the subcontinent.

Exciting book. well written, and superb plot.
If you like Tom Clancy/Forsyth types, this is a book you really should buy. This is the first real Indian one in that genre.
Detail and realism is awesome. Western authors never did justice to the complex politics of the subcontinent. Here is a welcome relief.

This is Shatrujeet Nath's debut novel. He is a writer to watch.

Buy it before it becomes a movie.

A well written book with a interesting storyline. Fast paced, and all locations, weapons etc are accurate. Shows that a lot of good research has gone into the book.

    A Great Spy Thriller

The book grips you from Chapter 1 and does NOT let go till the last word in the last chpater.

For a First Effort by the Author this is brilliantly crafted with a Great eye for Detail.

The Best part is the novel makes you think outside the normal - lets send some commando's into XYZ and get the Guy we want.

Finally a World Class Indian SPY THRILLER

Riveting, Edge of the Seat, etc are some of the words that you will experience while reading 'The KARACHI DECEPTION' by Shatrujeet Nath.

Fantastically written that too for a debut writer. Truly an exceptional piece of work which will keep the reader from start to finish. 'Must read' recommendation for all thriller genre readers.
