I ordered this book on a whim, just to understand the landscape of dalit literature in india. After finishing the book i have only one word to describe it - poignant!! This is a tale of lost childhood and human prejudices.
These days I have developed a deep interest in Dalit Literature. There is no specific reasons behind it, but I dunno why something pokes me from inside to share the pain of the Dalit classes, who for centuries have suffered social prejudices and untold hardships.
