    Interesting but not gripping

The book has a slow start as the characters build up ... Page 270 onwards thing start moving and the story gets interesting... Still I feel the author has been very descriptive on the characters and their past ...I am a kind of person who normally cannot put a book down once it starts getting interesting but with this book I found myself putting it down pretty often and only coming back when I had nothing else to do.... It is possible I am being over critical it's not a bad book..only I don't...

    The world goes viral.......literally!!!!!!

The passage is epic in all sorts.
Justin Cronin has a way of writing where the action scenes are not too enjoyable but in their own way, are good enough. Its not the vampires that scare, but the unpredictable sense of survival that does. Every character is believable; although there are too many (some not that important).
Initial reviews before I read criticized the slow first half. I seem to not get it. The struggle of Amy's mother and her philosophical and creepy disappearance was engaging....
