Book of Scientific Magical Thinking

No words to describe the content of this book...else you may feel that I am exaggerating it.....the ideas presented in this books are magical...

I have found so solid logic as close as perfection only in writing of Osho.
You cannot remain un-convinced.

The theories with practical examples are so robust and yet so simple...you will have to believe it...you become optionless to think for other logic...

I want to add many sitations and captions from book...but short of time...surely will add...

For those who believe that any change is attainable

I can't promise you that this book will trigger utter change in you, but the only thing that I can promise you that it helps you to form a framework through which you can achieve the same.
This book helps you to scrutinize the everyday choices that we made through habits ingrained in our brain which we typically perceive as our conscious decision made by us. It will help you to break the bad habits and from the good ones regardless of what those habits are, which is the goal of Charles Duhigg...

Good nonfiction

The reasons I enjoyed this book:
Easy and quick read
Normally the nonfiction takes time to finish and the subject dealt will take one to take time complete the book.
This book takes one to the tour on habits with much ease and the reader tends to enjoy (at least I enjoyed) with out getting bored
The book is in three parts - one part deals with individual habits, another deals with the institutional habits and the final one on societal habits.
What is interesting in this book - most of the tim...

Why we do 40% work in life out of habit

I saw the reference of this book in Harvard Business Review. I read once and planning to read again. As habit is the majority of our work, decision, lifestyle, patterns, exercise, love, affection everything, reading this book opens the eye. The book has various case studies of successful organization who succeeded in creating habit to their customer to buy their products, be it shampoo, toothpaste or cereals. The book gradually becomes very serious and try to reform the readers. Makes us unde...

Fantastic Book

This book is a delight to read. The things that the author talks about makes sense, encourages you to introspect, reflect and look at the world with a fresh pair of eyes. As a business enthusiast, this makes a lot of sense. The case studies are timed to perfection. The narrative is qualitative, and easy to understand. The reference list is also great, I actually went through them. So all in all, a great investment.

Absolute rubbish!

Very lengthy book with too long chapters and very little useful content. Things are so complicated to understand. There are mostly examples and no direct techniques to change habit. Main focus of this book is on lengthy and complicated examples and there is hardly any easy and "DIRECT" demonstration on habit change and about good habits.
Book is lengthy, this is not actually a big problem but useful content per page is very less, that after reading 70 pages out of 371 pages of this book I am...

Wonderful

Very good book in understanding how habits are formed. But if we want change i.e like come out of some addition you should have strong will power. Trust me it wont help you fighting any addictions. But, author explained clearly how habits are formed and how to create new habbits . This book nowhere talks about willpower. which is mainly required thing in overcomming Addiction. This book combination with any willpower book is a deadly combination.
