The Prestige  (Movie, DVD)

The Prestige (2006) centers around the lives of two magicians, Robert Angier and Alfred Borden, played by Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale. A successful magician has three assistants - Robert, his wife Julia, played by Piper Perabo, and Alfred. During an unfortunate performance, Julia is accidentally killed and Robert is furious with Alfred and charges him for her death, becoming bitter rivals in the process. In due course of time, Alfred and Robert emerge as successful magicians on their own and each of them tries to damage the other person's performance at all costs. During one such event, Alfred does an impossible trick and Robert is keen to expose his secret, but the consequences are too dangerous and he may end up losing out on his own life - in this drama-based thriller.
