I liked the characters a lot. Have huge respect for the female protagonist - Shambhavi. She was so brave and such an inspiration. It got very emotional by the end and made me tear up, but it was a complete page turner. You cannot stop. Read it by 3 AM in the morning nd adored it. I'm surely gonna read it again and ask all my friends to do so too. Don't miss out on this one!

This is one of the finest novel by Nikita Singh. It's completely different from her other novels. Loved reading it.
The way she described the born baby (pari), from the pg- 183 (last para) till d pg-184..
the lines which she used to describe the chapters and the units were marvelous..
And mainly loved the lines she used for the 10th chapter - Behind the mask...
'There is a side to every man, which he lets come out in the open only before the woman he truly loves'

i hope that even this novel ...

This is such a fascinating work. A slightly slow beginning, but once I got through the first 20% of it, I was hooked. It made me cry, it made me smile and in the end . . . I felt like it should never have ended. Very powerful story. It stays with you till a long time after you finish reading. Thumbs up from me!

i cried and cried and cried reading it. it is very touching story with good characters and i had a good time reading the book. waiting for more.

I usually do not read books by female authors, coz they are too girlish, but this one was different! picked it up from CP in Delhi and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. it has part is girl's point of view and other parts from guy's viewpoint. and that's what i liked he most - the balance. it felt nice to see a girl writing and expressing such profound thoughts from guy's point of view too. it was like she could feel what the guy was feeling!!! fascinating, it was. must read book, i'd say. i don'...

I have started reading chick-lits recently and when i saw this book, I instantly wanted to read it! What a beautiful cover design! I adore it, adore it, adore it! When I read the book, I wasn't disappointed. This was such a sweet love story, so unusual and endearing! I want to read more from the author! Cheers!!!!!!

To be honest in the very beginning, I found it a bit boring but as the story proceeded I couldn't stop myself from saluting Shubhangini, her courage to handle all the problems, having this attitude of hiding all the pains under a smile and never sharing them, she just shared her happiness. I loved her character. Not one of your best novels but really one hell of an amazing one, and truly inspiring. I can well read it all over again and turn nostalgic every time. *embarassed*

Another great novel by one & only Nikita Singh.
This is a story of a Happy-go-lucky girl named Shambhavi who is yet to decide what she wants to become and A heart broken, One man Show businessman Mr. Arjun Datta. Their fates take a very big turn when a business opportunity brings them together.
This is not their love story but its about the promise they broke and the promise they kept.
Really Enjoyed reading it.

I just loved this novel "The Promise"...its awesome...full of love and emotions...everything thing is so well described specially that baby part... :-)
After finishing it, i felt that in real life too sooner or later we all do realize our mistakes but some times its just too late to realize...wish every one could be lucky enough to get a chance to rectify their mistakes of life... :-)

A different tale of love story that will definitely bring down even the tough people to tears. The way of explanation of intricate details related to relationships and portrayal of characters is just mind blowing. The way i see it , the author has improved a lot since Love @ Facebook and this is on an entirely different way of story telling . Once you start reading it , i'm sure you won't stop it until you meet the last pages of book :). Worth your time and Worth the money . Try it out !
