An Engrossing Read

The Prophecy Of Trivine is the debut venture of the triumvirate Pulkit Gupta , Srivatsan Sridharan and Tnahsin Garg. I was approached by Tnahsin Garg to read and write a review of the book and I didn't wait a minute to say 'yes' as Science fiction/fantasy is one of my favourite genres. First of all I would like to congratulate them to step in the world of Sci-fi as this one seldom appeals the Indian authors. They dare to pick aliens , teleportation ,psychokinesis and all other related thing...

An Omen of Good things coming to Indian Storytelling

If you think Indian amateur storytellers are all about Love stories then you have just been proved wrong. The book is a perfect blend of a gripping story and easy writing. Writers have done a terrific job in weaving the cloth of science fiction novel with the help of factual and their imaginative threads. Story starts off in a very easy setting to catch the readers interest. Young college lad and typical engineering college and hostel settings. But as it unfolds we get to know how easily writ...

An amazing read

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this, and I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Read it in one go !

If somebody asks to define the book in just one word, that will be ‘imagination’. Apart from being a gripping thriller, the novel says something very very important that really struck a chord in me.

Well, the novel talks about aliens but provides a really unique and refreshing perspective on a long debated topic. There were a lot of scenes that made me wow and contempla...

Top fantasy novel by India so far

I guess this book is the top fantasy novel by India so far. That is because there are not many fantasy books beside mythology. I read it, I liked it. The story of three friends in a forest who have come from such a diverse and tangled backgrounds. Then the fantasy elements are going in that forest that have come from outer space. It was fun to read. Though I might inform you that if you are a lover of serious books then you may not like it. It's a bit laid back in the scene of conflict. But i...

Simply Impressive

Though I am not a regular reader but I must say it is one of the those impressive novels I have come across. Simply an amazing effort by débutantes.
The level of detail and such an interesting storyline, specially the way it unfolds, I actually felt it as a reason of so much activities happening around the world. You actually start believing in the sequence of events and the reasons mentioned. I was so much eager to reach the end that I almost read it in stretches of hours( something a irre...

A Sci-fi based on Indian Background, Presumably the First of its kind

Rating: 3.5 stars

I had long since stopped reading English books by Indian authors after trying my luck with the over-hyped books by Chetan Bhagat and a few other books of similar category for I found those stories melodramatic, repetitive and utterly unrealistic. So when Tnashin approached me requesting to read and review The Prophecy of Trivine, I was initially unsure about accepting it, but then going through the book blurb, I had the instinct that it'd be a book worth reading and my inst...

A 4.5 for me!!

A must read for all those who think sci-fi writers fail to give an acceptable conclusion.
Though the basic plot is science fiction but seriously that does not mean you need to have some kind of interest in science to pick this one. The story is about 3 friends- an artist, a scientist and a hacker! So no matter which field you are from I am sure you will be able to relate to atleast 1 of these characters.
The characters are so wisely portrayed it creates an image in your mind! Eagerly waiting ...

An interesting and imaginative book!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading tPOT as it thrilling, imaginative, thought-provoking and an engaging read. Some chapters of the book stand-out, specifically 'Red Dragon returns', 'Deciphering the relic', 'Troubled Dreams', and 'Messiah'. What I loved the most in the book, in addition to its gripping story, was the alien race, Gucuteps, and their perspective of humanity.

I would certainly recommend this book to all sci-fi fans, and young adults looking for an interesting and creative story. I a...
