The Red Diaries is a collection of poems which speaks the tales of a girl knitting her strings of emotions into a crochet of poetry.
These poems were written in the remembrance of those people that were cherished so much that it ached to let them go. These words were crafted in the spirit of meeting oneself again. In the essence of closure, these letters attached itself to one another in order to make meaning out of the events that left scars and painted smiles. Memories which turned into a bouquet of literary florilegium.
This compilation is a muse to the poet's life. These verses were written at different times with contrasting emotions. It is so strange to understand how one heart, one body, felt so many weird but beautiful feelings from time to time.
The Red Diaries plays with colors throughout in it's poems. The Red symbolizes love, and the pain which comes along with loving. The Red Diaries transforms through ages. These poems have been stored inside a shelf of dusted journals for half a decade now. Each poem has its own story. Some were written with a heart so heavy it felt impossible for the feeling to stay captured anymore, so the feelings found itself on torn pieces of paper covered in ink and tears. Some were written in the daylight while the sun shone and the hearts met. Some were written as pieces of treasure for the love which was lost. Some were written to celebrate the victories on the matters of heart. Some were written to express the torture which was too much for one soul to withstand. Some were written as a healed soul whilst some where written in order to acknowledge that healing may not be all that linear. It is not easy to grieve or to let go, it is one of the most difficult things one can find themselves doing. It is not easy, but it is so rewarding.
This book contains poems which try to talk about every emotion that can be felt by a human. Love, invalidation, grief, happiness, loneliness, freedom. The list of emotions is endless. It confesses the fact that it is human to feel this way.
