A great book

When I was close to completing the first book, The Immortals of Meluha, I decided not to read the second book in the Trilogy. The first book had a cliffhanger. Due to my closure issues, I found it necessary to read the second book.

The second book was better than the first one. There were a lot of twists in the plot, which I could not predict. The twists got me hooked till the end. In this book, we understand a lot more about the Nagas and the quest of Shiva to find evil. I liked the way Amis...

He has thought the entire thing out of the box again however it never lets you to keep it down. Again I completed it in 1 night as I could not even sleep leaving it half read.

A tremendous secret Unveiled

Really, a very good piece of work by Amish. The book takes you in such a different viewing angle apart from the first book of the triology "The Immoratals of Meluha".
Makes you think that there are two sides of the same coin and is a tale of conviction, love and most importantly the struggle of Shiva on finding the truth of good or to be clear the difference between Good and evil.

The difference continues-----

The Secret of Nagas, the 2nd part of Shiv Trilogy by Amish still grabs the attention of the readers as it in the 1st part, "The immortals of Meluha".This book contains 23 chapters. Each chapter uncovers a new mystery, (or truly said, makes a new mystery also).
I don't want to describe each and every chapters because this will be bad for a curious reader. But I again fall in love with Amish's view to see the myths. Some concepts are really awesome. One can get different and reasonable answers f...

Some thoughts about this book

This book is a purely entertaining book with a good masala stories. The war scenes are described in a very bollywoody way. But the main success of this book is to stitch the whole stories with some facts and character take from purans and various geographical locations. It is the main essence of this book. For that hats off to Amish.

But from the below comments, it seems that few people actually thinks this book is puran based and they also challenge the content is not proper. PLEASE DONT LO...

Worth Reading

This was amazing read. The author has done a great research about Indian myths and religious text and then weaved everything in a grand underlying story. It was so nice to see some reference to the word 'Maika', which I had known from childhood but nothing more than the word. Then the story of Ganesha and Kali is another interpretation I found mesmerizing. Without really saying explicitly he depicts Shiva as an ideal man (or role model). The names of the places of characters and division of s...

Much better than its prequel. Worth a read

Seldom do I come across sequels which put to shame their prequels. Yes, The Secret of the Nagas completely overshadows the Immortals of Meluha with its sheer brilliance. I wasn't expecting it to be so good. On starting this book I had decided to read a chapter a day so as to not spend to much time reading, my new found indulgence. However, this book was so captivating that I finished with an average of three chapters a day.

The book ends, like its prequel, with a "to be continued" note, pavi...
