    GOOD READ

If you have read the other books by Aswin Sanghi, this one would be one point down than the others. Having said that, it IS a good read though i would have liked to have the mystery part expanded a bit more. He, like always, has amalgamated the past and present beautifully. It is wonderful the way the story of the two protagonists unfolds and gets connected.

    Well worth a read

It's difficult to classify what type of book this is. At times, it seems like a typical Dan Brown novel with a racy plot intertwined with mythology and history. At times, it seems like a Jeffrey Archer novel with plenty of twists and turns. At times, it seems like a non fiction novel covering almost every major event in India post independence. Without giving much away about the plot, I must say the novel is well worth a read, simply because the number of genres it encompasses ensures it has ...

    Intriguing and enlightening

Review of “The Sialkot Saga” – Ashwin Sanghi
Though set in the backdrop of political and economic clashes in India post-Independence, this tome is a story which started way back in 250 BCE when Ashoka reined most of the Indian subcontinent. Ashwin Sanghi, the Dan Brown of India, weaves a saga where secrets are passed on from then till the present day India. The front story is that of Arvind and Arbaaz, different religions, different upbringings, different people altogether; but with a single ...

    The Struggle for Power

Ashwin Sanghi and his own genre of Indian Thriller (Historic) is out again with The Sialkot Saga, having read The Krishna Key and Chanakya’s Chant you do get attracted as the what the writer would give you in the new book.

The Sialkot Saga is a book that spreads over a period of time and it comes to present day India, both being and historic and also full of twists and turns it keeps you gripped and wanting for more.

The book is about Arvind and Arbaaz who have grown up during partition of ...

    Good Read

This has been a break from the usual books written by Ashwin Sanghi. Based in 1947 partitioned India, it is an intricate story that time travels, it features people who bound by a secret of which they are unaware. A tale that revolves around bloodbath and gore that makes you travel through pages of history, gripping you with exceptional turn of events, leaving you with a rush of adrenalin.

Pick this up for this has been engaging cover to cover. What I love about Ashwin Sanghi's work is that...

Book Review: Ashwin Sanghi_The Sialkot Saga

“Destiny is a funny thing.” Each one of us must have experienced this in varying degrees. The Sialkot Saga picks up on this and builds a story which weaves through centuries and generations to culminate is a moment which leaves one wishing for more. The story revolves around two protagonists, Arvind and Arbaaz, whose lives are separate yet intertwined in more ways than either of them could have ever imagined or might have been willing to admit.

The story starts in the bloodbath of one of Ind...

Hues of an important era of the Indian society

To start with, the book looks pretty big and heavily stuffed. Initially, I was skeptical how I was going to wrap it up with a modest review in a week. But believe me it went off pretty smooth. The book is a product of a well planned plot, a certain thought to the story-line and an approach that has been predefined artistically. Ashwin Sanghi is a story-teller of a different class. He has a perfect control on how he drives his story. His matured writing doesn’t spill a bean on what is planned ...
