one of the best documentaries on the history of india till date..its simply fascinating how complex and ancient the culture of india is.. micheal woods has that rear understanding about the indian tradition that transports you to the golden ages of the country.. Its also very interesting to see how Woods has personally travelled the length and breath of the land to uncover various facts as well as legends about india... In short , its just spell binding!!

I have watched the entire series several times over. This is by far the finest story ever told about INDIA so far. So well understood and explained and entertaining and soulful......it goes on.... Hats of and respect to the film-maker to make something this epic...
I'll also confess i first downloaded it but after watching it I went and bought it. Collectors stuff!!!

A friend had recommended this book to me, knowing my love for books, and at that particular point, my interest in the history of India. And I was glad I got this book.
It's a nice read for anyone wanting to know the history of India, and what all our country has been through.

I would also recommend this to people interested in knowing more about India! A very crisp and knowledgeable book.
