  • Description

This book explores the little childhood memories that bring about some of the most discomforting desires in us. This work of Sigmund Freud is about his fascination with Leonardo da Vinci and the genius that he was.

    Summary of the Book

The Uncanny is a biographical essay that explores the character of Leonardo da Vinci and discusses things about him that made Freud curious. In the essays, Freud has a lot to talk about when it came to the great artist’s sexuality. He tries to understand why Leonardo da Vinci’s pupils were always good-looking boys and what went on in his mind when he depicted the naked human body. This book contains some of Freud’s best writing and goes deep into childhood memories and conflicts.
