About the Author U.K. Singh graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1973, from MMM Engineering College, Gorakhpur, and did his Master`s degree in Analysis & Design of Process Equipment from MLNNIT, Allahabad. He was awarded Ph.D. in Machine Design. He is a mechanical engineer of international level. He is presently working as head of Mechanical Engineering Deptt. Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (KNIT), Sultanpur. He has been teaching these subjects for the last 33 years for B.Tech. and M.Tech. students. He has published more than 30 papers in national and international journals and attended many national and international conferences where he has presented several research papers.
