One understand the title only when one nears the end
A very good and unputdownable historical novel based in the Kumao Hills, Almora, Nainital, places I've visited. But it takes an imaginative author like Namita Gokhle to bring these place and the people there alive - what they were like 100 yrs ago under the British rule.
