"Tenzin Pema Chashar is a Tibetan woman, born and brought up in exile. She has never been to Tibet, but like most second-generation Tibetans who have grown up in exile, she grew up listening to her grandparents' and parents' tales of life in Tibet - their memories of the people and the places they left behind. Today, in her head, she has formed her own image of home - one that has taken shape over years of listening to the elders' accounts of home. And it is this image, this identity, that Tenzin hopes to preserve and share through her writings.
An award-winning journalist, Tenzin has over two decades of experience as a writer, reporter, editor, and newsroom leader. She lives with her husband, mother, and three children in India."
