The 3 Mistakes Of My Life is a book that revolves around three young lads and their ambitions in life, as well as the events that pose a threat to their relationship with each other.

    Summary Of The Book

The 3 Mistakes Of My Life revolves around Govind, Omi, and Ishaan. Although they have different personalities, their love for cricket unites them. They decide to start a shop that sells cricket-related items. Omi’s father is a priest at the temple, and has a great deal of influence there. They then decide to launch their shop in the commercial premises of the temple. Among the three, Govind is the most business minded, as he and his mother were left to fend for themselves when his father left them. He desires to become rich, and also attributes his business-mindedness to the fact that he’s a Gujarati, who are known for good trading.

Ishaan is the most fond of playing cricket, and decides to help a young boy who wants to land a spot in the Indian Cricket Team. Ishaan’s sister, Vidya, is determined towards making something of herself, as she’s tired of their financial status. She is currently gearing up for her medical entrance tests. However, she is weak in mathematics. Ishaan requests Govind to tutor his sister, as Govind is good at math. However, as time passes by, the two fall in love and try their best to hide it from everyone, especially Ishaan.

The three are very close to each other. Things take a turn with the horrendous earthquake in Gujarat, the Godhra incident, and the riots that followed. This book revolves around the three mistakes made by these young lads, what they are, and the way it alters the course of their lives and that of those around them. The 3 Mistakes Of My Life was greatly appreciated by its readers, and was adapted into a movie titled Kai Po Che!, which was released in 2013.

A good value for money book - Buying it will NOT be a mistake of your life

When i read other reviews about this book and also enquired with my friends, they were not very happy about this book but when i read this book i felt the same language which we are used to from Chtan's books, yes it is no where near to his works like "Five Point someone" or "2 States" but it isnt bad either, the way he gives background to each character and ties up all the loose ends together is what i like in this book as well, it also touches a few sensitive aspects of Gujrat but also expl...

A NICE STORY BY A GREAT AUTHOR

At first it can be boring for the reader who are usually habituated with espionage stories. As you will progress it will become more interesting for you to read this. It is a nice story and you will surely enjoy reading this.

Good read with a dull ending !!!

Story starts well but the ending of it is not at all required and is a bit off track.Good read though as you get to see the Chetan Bhagat style of narration with a little ups and downs.Highly recommended for fans of Chetan Bhagat's writing !

Nice!Full of emotions & a review of difficulties of life

Its my first novel that has taken only one day to comlete. Rather than sex, hangout it is full of emotions, human tendencies and the most important humps in the path of life.

apart from emotions, Mr.Bhagat has used very attractive language that has been successful in keeping the suspense of the reader which is a great quality of a good author.

    Unexpectedly thrilling

I bought this book in the form of flipkart's combo pack of four books almost exactly last year but couldn't dare to read it until now post the experience of One Night At Call Centre whose climax I felt very boring, very filmy and far away from the reality. Then I chose to read Two States which is needless to say is one of the best creations by CB ever and so is the Five Point Someone. Then came the movie 'Kai Po Che' so thought why not to at least read the book once and then watch the movie l...
