  • Description

Ever since the gods of Ancient Egypt were unleashed on the modern world, Carter Kane and his sister, Sadie, have been in big trouble.

As descendants of the magical House of Life, they command certain powers. But now a terrifying enemy - Apophis, the giant snake of chaos - is rising.

If Carter and Sadie don't destroy him, the world will end in five days' time. And in order to battle the forces of chaos, they must revive the sun god Ra - a feat no magician has ever achieved. Because first they must search the world for the three sections of the Book of Ra, then they have to learn how to chant its spells . . .

Can the Kanes destroy Apophis before he swallows the sun and plunges the earth into darkness . . . forever?

Excellent work penned down by Riordan.

Well, his work is extraordinarily beautiful. The way he has put up the story for teenagers is incomparable. He has literally gone into the heart and mind of a regular teenager(I am saying so because i am one.) and put up the story exceptionally good. His earlier work the series Percy Jackson & the Olympians is also good. Let us all hope that he takes out another series on Egyptian Mythology series and surprise us all.

In this series the Kane siblings attempt chaos from rising by bring the ...

I mean it is better than its first part and makes u really eager for the third book. Rick Riordan is an amazing author! His Percy Jackson series and Heroes of Olympus are also amazing like the Kane series. He adds subtle humous which will definitely make you smile. I LOVED IT!!

De-Nile is a river in Egypt!

The second part of Carter and Sadie Kane's story. Excellent plot, but then you cannot expect any less from this author. Rick Riordan's books are always a work of genius! It started with Percy Jackson, and then The Heroes of Olympus (the latter series still ongoing, in fact.) His books are brilliantly written and oh-so funny. I honestly haven't been this pleased to read anybody's works since Harry Potter. I may have lofty expectations when it comes to books, but Riordan's series' have NEVER di...

    Good Book !

This is an excellent book by the creator of Percy Jackson. In fact, due to it's first person narrative style I actually like it more than series 2 of Percy Jackson !
The characters and settings are very well executed.
The book is also very well paced, almost too fast but not quite.

    A 'MUST READ' BOOK

This is a very interesting book and manages to attract the reader's attention. A person reading this will not feel like leaving it: I finished it in about a week or so. Hats-off to Puffin Books and Rick Riordan. A mon avis, this book is actually worthy of 5 stars.

The Second Part : Even More thrilling

Damn! After knowing that Apophis was the real enemy and not Set, It really made my heart bounce in and out of my ribs!.
Fast paced story line, keeps the adrenaline rushing through your wings. Even more interesting when Carter finds Zia(who does not like him...at first)
Well, too sad its a trilogy... know the last book
