Description

To Get Her: Best Friends Are Forever... is the story of a simple girl and the ups and downs of her life after she enters college.

Summary Of The Book

In To Get Her: Best Friends Are Forever..., the author introduces readers to a simple young girl who enters a new world when she enrolls for a course in an engineering college.

She carries numerous dreams and aspirations for her life ahead, but the very first day of college runs like a splash of cold water on her face. She is roughly introduced to the less-than-perfect reality that awaits her. The rose-tinted glasses come off and she is left wondering how she will cope with her problems.

To add to her woes, a local gangster turns her life haywire, just to revive an old love affair with her best friend. The support of her friends is the only thing that keeps her standing to live another day.

The story takes the reader through the best and worst parts of college life, with the common thread of friendship running through both. Infatuation, ragging, romance, gossip, fun, misunderstandings, feelings of protection, sleuthing instincts, strange incidents, and carefree days - the book covers all these and some more.

The importance of supportive friends and long-lasting friendships is highlighted through this book, which falls under the so-called ‘Chick-lit’ genre, or literature for young women.

Debut work? I won't agree!!!!!!

I have the general habit of buying books of new authors without the basic knowledge of them. I really got annoyed of that because, no book did suit my taste. Atlast, I found this Great Masterpiece. Bought it. Read it. Now, I'm feeling happy for my decision. Every lines in this novel shows you the life U may have lived or going to experience in your college. I guarantee you that you will have every kind of pleasure in reading this novel. Better to say, you are not going to read a novel. You ar...

Nice work!! Everyone will be able to relate to it..!!

To start with, I would congratulate author for the nice work done as a debutant. The USP of the book has to be the fact that almost everyone will be able to relate to it at some point or the other.
That is what an author's job is, to get the reader involved in the story as if its his own life being told. Fiction seems like reality.
Loved the characters as well especially that of Lakshit. He teaches us quiet a few things including how to maintain balance between love and friendship. Any guy wo...

For the cover page

to start with the title itself...ToGetHer...appealing enough..the reasons being - for good readers, it is always pleasant to ponder upon the reflection of the title of the book all through the pages and it is appreciably good that the author does not use the title or the tagline many times and you have done it that way as the very word has always been used as an adverb only..so, linguistically, it suggests that your writing is mature..the title should be to make readers do some exercise after...

Smashing, indeed!

ToGetHer â?? The title of the book itself attracted attention because I loved the 'pun' and 'double entendre', with slick Caps use, even in that short title. On turning the book to its back...right form "ToGetHer is a sassy storyâ?¦" to "...wanting to read more" the fine description of the college and hostel life was in simple English and pretty.

On reaching home, I could not wait to get my hands on it! and once I did, I did not look up from it till I reached the last word of the last line. ...

One of the master piece

This is one of the best books i have read so far...To Get Her is the story of Ayesha, a fresher in the world of engineering. And like all college, her college too has a bunch of seniors who rag her and bring out the harsh realities of life for her. Compiling the tales of growing up, friendship, enjoying the fresh and exciting college life, being protective about friends, trying to play hero / detective, misunderstanding and being misunderstood, Ishita Bhown effortlessly lists her story. There...

SPELLBINDING AND NOSTALGIC!!!!!

To put it short, this novel really lives up to its title. TO GET THER as the name suggests just makes you relive every beautiful moment you shared with your friends and loved ones. The lucidity and the beautiful narration does make it a bottoms up read. Beware it touches your chords and does take you to that remote corner of your nostalgic world from where you reminiscence every beautiful moment you have shared with your dear friends.
Time for all of you to definitely grab a copy and devour it.

A MUST READ

ToGetHer; innovative, crisp, relative and a superb description of how life is and what it is to have a bunch of friends never willing to leave you. Love, emotions, anger, anxiety and surprises and a warm end will hold your head and eyes still till the end. The narration of thoughts and the skeptical conscience makes the novel even more interesting.
Congratulations to Ishita Bhown for her effort and superb debut!!!!!!
One word for her efforts....."WOW"
