Great lens. A must buy
I got this lens from flipkart @ 23500/- with a special 10% city bank discount. Lens is amazingly sharp @ widest aperture.
Pros:
1. Solid built , super sturdy
2. Metal mount
3. Razor sharp at all f stops
4. Closest focus distance is better than any other lens in the class. even canon 100mm f2.8 USM(but it is a best buy if money doesn't matter for you)
5. Amazingly cheap for the quality
6. Comes with Lens hood (canon hood cost around 3000/-) in the sales package.

Great macro lens.
Great macro lens. Only drawback I found and for which i rated it 4 star is the slow auto focus mode. Manual Focus mode is great. Excellent for portrait photography.

A:It's compatible but autofocus will not work on Nikon entry level DSLRs like 3 and 5 series which lack autofocus motor.

A:It is compatible but auto focus will not work.This will autofocus only on D7000 onwards. I use it on my d7000 for portraiture and macro and picture quality is stunning. Best macro lens at this price.
